The Thrivin Wanderers

All about us and our adventures!

Who are we?

We embarked on a journey to explore Australia in a caravan. We decided to trade the comforts of our life for the freedom of an ever-changing view. We needed to change up our lifestyle, we had both made huge sacrifices in life to pursue our careers. Don’t get us wrong, we nailed that part of life and it allowed us to make the massive change. But it was time we both made a change to allow ourselves to live our lives, light ourselves up, learn more about who we are without the career titles 👩🏻‍💼👨🏻‍💼

We have equipped ourselves with an 18ft Vibe Dropbear Grizzly caravan that is our home on wheels and a Nissan Patrol to explore this great country 🇦🇺

We originally set out in February 2024 to travel the varying landscapes that this Earth has to offer. As soon as we set out, we knew this caravan life was for us. Our goal now is to continue to live each day, work remotely and laugh a lot. We each own our own businesses and work remotely while we explore this amazing country. It took a minute to get into a rhythm but we are on the same page and understand what is required to get the work done.

Areti – a business woman who owns 3 gyms, has worked in national sales, marketing, management, the fitness industry, is a qualified Nutritional advisor and is also a Landscape photographer that has grown an Instagram audience close to 3000 followers in the last 12 months and a full-time focus and more of this great country to share, the plan is to grow that audience exponentially.

Troy – a business man that has been immersed in the finance industry for majority of his career. He now successfully owns and runs 3 companies…he has grown each business over the past 5 years and now employs  staff from across the globe.

We are busy while on the road, it’s not a holiday, it is a lifestyle! Balancing the work and adventure is constantly on our minds but it does allow us to live this lifestyle…we remind ourselves of this on the days that we are stuck in the caravan working!

We both lost our fathers and they were young at 59 and 60yrs old when they passed, and Troy also lost his sister suddenly in 2017 at 36yrs. Losing those dear to us has been one of the driving forces into taking on this adventure and buying our caravan, buying a Nissan Patrol and kitting both out with all that we need and hitting the road now instead of waiting until later. Why not now?!
Look…we have all the gear and some idea BUT together we form a team that has big goals, business sense, business experience, common sense and a goal to live a fun life, help others and most of all inspire others to thrive ✨

There are endless possibilities that come with the open road and we cannot wait to get into it and see where it take us and others.

Follow us on socials to get more of an idea of who we are, where we are and how we are doing on the road 🛣️

Let’s talk Katherine Hot Springs 🤓 We have been t Let’s talk Katherine Hot Springs 🤓

We have been to Katherine, NT a few times, we didn’t really rate the Hot Springs the first time we visited…at all. Everyone we have met on the road for the last two years has raved about them and we just didn’t get it 😅🤷🏻‍♀️
We had been to Bitter Springs and Mataranka Thermal Pool prior to Katherine and we had much preferred Bitter Springs out of them all 😅

So when we hit the Northern Territory recently…two years after our original visit, we agreed that we need to go back and try Katherines hot springs again.
We will always try again if we are able to or are back in the area, so many factors can contribute to your experience right?!

With open minds…we hit them again, and we get it! Crystal clear water, easy access, simple swims with a beautiful canopy. We still prefer Bitter Springs but we now get why everyone raves about Katherine 🤗

We are curious: Have you been? Did you love them or feel slightly underwhelmed?

How do you fit 13 months of Western Australia into How do you fit 13 months of Western Australia into 1 minute and 30 seconds? 😅

We arrived via the Gibson Desert, we hit the Ningaloo, legged it to the South West, played in Perth for a while, then pointed the car and caravan north, and kept bouncing along into the North West and across into the NT 🙌🏽

We met some beautiful people who are now life long friends, watched countless sunsets, travelled a stunning coastline that changes so much from South to the North, gathered so much sand, been covered in red dirt, have seen so much wildlife and made endless memories…and we feel like we were only just getting started 🤩

We left WA about 3 weeks ago and are a little behind in our posting, and we will catch you all up through the next week, but we have been missing it much more than we thought.
Sooo it probably won’t be long before we are back🤞🏼

Western Australia…please keep our seats warm because we will see you again real soon 🫶🏽

A caravan that has been built with all the things to make living life on the road easier and more comfortable 🐻

We pulled up this free camp, adjusted the airbags, opened the windows, started a fire and commenced the fly swat dance 😅

Lake Argyle, Western Australia We didn’t plan on Lake Argyle, Western Australia

We didn’t plan on moving across the top of WA so quickly, but we had a few things come up and we decided to move towards those opportunities 😊
Running our businesses while travelling sometimes requires us to pivot and get moving in a different direction than first planned….when it pays for your travels, you got to do what you got to do right? 🤓

The drive out to the lake is a spectacular drive…why aren’t more people talking about this more? It’s beautiful 🤩

We have more to share on this location but let’s start with the infamous indoor pool which wasn’t as cold as we expected, but that is probably due to the fact that the days were 37 degrees 🥵

Oh and a Boab tree that is pretty perfect, how interesting are Boab trees? 😅
